Leadership to Literacy
Brought to you by "The Better Place"
Working directly with our TYTH team, The Better Place is a program that focuses on enhancing the literacy skills of children in three parts of Maryland: Prince George's and Charles County, and Baltimore City. Through their Leadership to Literacy initiative, The Better Place collaborates with surrounding schools to make reading fun and encourage children to create their better place through literature that enhances them culturally, spiritually and academically.

Not to be confused with an ordinary book club, Leadership to Literacy makes reading fun by bringing the stories to life. Youth will gain the skills needed to conduct research, use context clues, and more. Older students will have the opportunity to mentor younger students, while helping them sharpen their literacy skills.
